In Theaters This Weekend: Let Me In squares off against The Social Network

1 Oct

Two movies are headlining the theater openings this weekend, and it looks to be a vampire vs. another blood sucking entity. Let Me In, the Hollywood remake of the excellent Swedish film Let the Right One In, about a pre-teen vampire who befriends a bully-prone little boy, is facing off against The Social Network, the David Fincher film focusing on Mark Zuckerberg’s rise as Facebook’s resident billionaire. “Will It Suck” gave both of these movies the go ahead, so if you’re planning on hitting the multiplexes (or hopefully your neighborhood miniplex), make room for a double feature.

Other openings: Case 39, a horror mystery starring Renee Zellweger, that was actually shot in 2006, slated for release in 2008, but is just now hitting theaters after delays. Any movie that hits a two-year series of setbacks after it was filmed, is destined to suck. Sorry, Renee.
